The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Royal Hospital and research has 4 single rooms, well equipped to provide specialized care to serve the acute needs of the catastrophically ill or otherwise medically complex patient. Critically ill patients would be transferred to ICU for close monitoring and be connected to the essential life-support systems when necessary.
